The 1,2,3s of Vocal Health: Things Music Therapists Should Know

Join us Thursday, February 23rd at 6 pm CST as Derek Isetti, PhD, CCC-SLP covers vocal health for the professional voice user. Topics covered will include: typical vocal fold functioning, problems related to vocal overuse and misuse, types of voice disorders, how/when to seek care, and sample workplace accommodations. Registration for this event will close, February 12th at 11:59 CST.

Derek Isetti, PhD, CCC-SLP earned his bachelor of arts in drama with an emphasis in musical theater from University of California, Irvine in 1996. After traveling the country in four national tours and performing in the musical Cabaret on Broadway, Dr. Isetti earned his master of science in speech-language pathology from University of the Pacific. He later earned his doctor of philosophy in Speech and Hearing Sciences from University of Washington, studying voice disorders under the mentorship of Dr. Tanya Eadie. He joined the University of the Pacific Speech-Language Pathology Department in 2014 and now serves as Department Chair.
